Cranberry Dental Gel improves oral health in dogs and cats by preventing bad breath and dental plaque buildup.
The texture of the dental gel has been optimized, making it sticky on the teeth and gums to increase contact time with the oral walls. Pets’ interest in the flavour was an important factor in the development of the product, helping to make the job of administering it as pleasant as possible. The animal can thus make a positive association with the dental gel and the owner will have an easier time maintaining their pet’s oral hygiene.

This tasty product can be applied in several ways, taking a multi-step approach that ends with toothbrushing.
– On food: To get started, you can put the dental gel on their kibble, their favourite treats or their dental toys. This will allow you to gradually and positively introduce the product into your pet’s routine.
– On finger: Next, you can apply the recommended amount of dental gel directly on its teeth and gums, making sure your pet is comfortable during the process.
– On toothbrush: Once you’ve introduced your pet to a toothbrush, you can simply brush your pet’s teeth with the dental gel. It will thus benefit from the mechanical action of the brush in addition to the benefits of the cranberry.

Why give Cranberry Dental Gel?
Dental hygiene in dogs and cats is important for preventing many oral problems and diseases. A combination of several methods can be advantageous such as the use of food and dental treats, brushing teeth and the use of an active product against bad bacteria such as a dental gel.
Is dental gel a toothpaste?
Yes, the dental gel can be used as toothpaste with a toothbrush. It is called gel because of its texture which is more sticky than a paste. Thus, the contact time between the dental gel and the oral cavity is longer, which promotes the effectiveness of the product. This texture also allows the dental gel to have several modes of administration, which allows the product to follow the animal in all stages until brushing the teeth.
How to give dental gel for the first time?
We recommend for the first time to give the dental gel with a treat that your pet likes. The taste of cranberries can be peculiar, it may take a while for them to get used to it.
We recommend that you follow the different steps included in our Cranberry Dental Gel Guide.
What is the shelf life of dental gel?
The expiration date of the dental gel is indicated on the back of the tube, at the closure at the top. The first two letters indicate the month and the next two digits indicate the year. The next 4 characters form the lot number.
Dental gel is sensitive to heat, it should be kept in a cool place and avoided near a heat source or in direct sunlight. The gel should be refrigerated after opening.
It is possible to store the dental gel in the refrigerator before opening it, this helps to keep it fresher.
What to do if I forgot to refrigerate it after opening?
For a period of a few days, it shouldn’t be a problem, just place it in the fridge for the next times.
Refrigeration helps prevent external contaminations that could occur while using the product. The best way to know if it’s still good is to smell it. When it is no longer good, it will have a bad smell.
In addition, refrigeration also slows down the natural degradation of cranberry molecules in order to maintain an effective product throughout its use.

Can Cranberry Dental Gel Prevent UTIs?
The dental gel has not been formulated for this function. The concentration of cranberries is lower than a product to prevent urinary tract infections since it acts directly in the oral cavity and does not need to pass through the digestive tract, where it is transformed.
Why is there a precaution regarding kidney disease?
Cranberry Dental Gel is registered with Health Canada’s Veterinary Health Products (VHP) program. The presence of cranberry as an active ingredient requires indicating the precaution regarding kidney disease. This helps guide the owner to consult a veterinarian before administering a product to a vulnerable animal.
